Dan Woodward

Assistant Pastor/Bus Director/Sunday School Superintendent

Dan and Mary Jane Woodward were married in October of 1979 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In January of 1980, He and Mary Jane trusted Christ as their personal savior after attending a few services at the Grace Baptist Church in Marion, Iowa. Dan immediately started to work in the bus ministry and after eighteen months went to and graduated from Hyles-Anderson College in Crown Point, Indiana. After graduation he moved back to Iowa, pastored for three years and after resigning the pastorate, felt led to come to Marion Avenue in the spring of 1989. In 1990 Pastor Brown asked if he would lead the bus ministry at Marion Avenue.

Since 1990, under the canopy of the Marion Avenue Baptist Church and Pastor Larry Brown, the bus ministry has brought over 350,000 riders with thousands trusting Christ as their personal Savior.

The church currently has ten bus routes logging approximately 1,500 miles per week up to a 60 mile radius to reach Washington and the surrounding communities.

Dan Woodward is a tremendous asset to the Marion Avenue Baptist Church. He and his wife, Mary Jane, are two of the greatest Christians you will ever meet.
